Day 1: Rosa Regale

In the spirit of the New year i thought it would be appropriate to start with a sparking wine. Even tho i should of saved this wine for valentines day, this is a great romantic wine which pairs great with chocolate.  This is a great wine to celebrate something or share it with a love one.  Ladies tend to favorite this wine, which means the men need to become aware of this unique beauty. Rosa Regale is made from 100% Brachetto grapes (also known as Borgogna in some parts of Italy) which are known to produce light bodied, highly aromatic wines with distinctive notes of Strawberries.  Now, Brachetto d'Acqui is a red Italian wine known and produced in the Piedmont wine region of Italy. Rosa Regale has a delicate bouquet of rose petals and offers sensuous flavors of fresh raspberries and strawberries. This is a softer texture when compared to other sparkling wines and champagnes. This low alcohol content wine which is served best chilled, makes a great ending to a meal. The last thing i would like to share about this wine is the story of CleopatraAccording to legend, Julius Caesar and Marc Antony presented Cleopatra with several gourds of vinum acquense, an early fore-bearer of Brachetto d'Acqui.
